Maintenance, maintenance and precautions of Rockwell hardness tester.

When transporting the Rockwell hardness tester, the weight and indenter must be removed, and an anti-vibration rubber pad should be placed between the indenter seat and the sample table; the original packaging should be restored for long-distance transportation.

  1. When transporting the Rockwell hardness tester, the weight and indenter must be removed, and an anti-vibration rubber pad should be placed between the indenter seat and the sample table; the original packaging should be restored for long-distance transportation.
  2. For any debugging and inspection, such as loading and unloading weights, removing the upper cover, unplugging and plugging cables, and opening the side door for inspection, the power supply should be cut off.
  3. It is forbidden to switch the test force when the indenter is in contact with the tested sample.
  4. The loading and unloading of the indenter should be done carefully to ensure that the tip is not damaged or polluted, and the installation surface is clean and free of foreign matter. If it is not used for a long time, it should be removed and stored properly, and pay attention to rust prevention.
  5. The surface of the sample table and standard hardness block should be clean and free from pollution, scratches, scratches, and bruises; it should be coated with anti-rust oil to prevent rust during storage.
  6. During the test, the tested sample must be placed stably and supported reliably to ensure that there is no displacement or deformation during the test.
  7. Pay attention to dustproof and anti-corrosion media in the daily working environment and after shutdown. In some humid areas, regular attention should be paid to rust prevention.
  8. The lifting screw of the sample table should be lubricated regularly. The specific method is: remove the sample stage and protective ring, loosen the sheath of the lead screw, inject a few drops of light lubricating oil on the lead screw, then turn the handwheel, and repeatedly raise and lower the lead screw to distribute the lubricating oil evenly. Finally, reinstall the sheath and so on. Note that lubricating oil should not be injected too much.
